Rajco produces copper tubes in DHP grade for a vide spectrum of the heating, ventilating, airconditioning, refrigeration medical gas & cooling industry.

Tubes are manufactured to suit various specifications, prominent amongst these are the ASTM B-68, ASTM B-75, BS-2871, EN-1057, ASTM B-280 and the JIS H-3300. Tubes are also manufactured to suit internal customer specifications. We are proud to supply to a wide range of refrigeration and airconditioning requirements in hard, half hard, quarter hard or soft annealed condition.

Airconditioning & Refrigeration copper tubes are made from phosphorous deoxidized copper (DHP grade) alloy C-106 or UNS No. C-12200 with minimum copper purity of 99.9% and phosphorous purity of 0.015% to 0.040% with strict dimensional tolerances as per ASTM B-251 to ensure the highest standards and guaranteed performance. The internal bore cleanliness meets the requirement of the residue test as specified by the codes to give you a meticulously clean, mirror-like inner surface and also to suit the new refrigeration gases like R 134A, R-600 or R-410 & refrigeration lubricants like Ester Oil. The tube integrity is well defined by the fact that all tubes meet the standards of ASTM E 243 & are eddy current tested to ensure that a defect free and flawless tube is supplied to the customer.

Rajco's AC & R tubes are bright annealed, having uniform grain size, controlled hardness, elongation & tensile strength. Tubes can be readily bent, manipulated, soldered or brazed. Rajco's refrigeration quality tubes are not only exported but are also contributing to import substitution in India, relied upon by Daewoo, Voltas, Kirloskar Copeland, Electrolux, BPL Sanyo, Blue Star and Nuclear Power Corporation of India. The sizes manufactured range from 1 5/8” OD to 1/8” OD and in thickness from 10 to 29 SWG. Tubes can be supplied in 50 feet or 15 metres coil form or in straight length as per client requirements.

Copper tubes for medical gas lines are specially cleaned and are supplied to the installer capped or plugged. Apart from the obvious reasons to ensure the cleanliness of copper tubes for these applications, oxygen under pressure, may cause spontaneous combustion of some organic oils which are residues of lubricating oils used during the manufacture of copper pipes and more so, for the medical safety of patients. Copper tubes are chosen for surgical vacuum systems, because of its resistance to corrosion and easily cleaned internal surfaces and when in use, detergents are periodically passed through to purge and sterilize the lines.

This is because both copper tubes and fittings are the only solution for supplying medical gases with proper safety and cleanliness requirements conforming to various specifications. Safety standards for copper and other positive pressure medical gases require the use of copper tubes with special cleanliness. Rajco conforms to these requirements.
